Roderick L. Hodgson is a native and local historian of Hudson, Quebec and a graduate of the University of Guelph, B.A.'78. 'Down the Ottawa and Up the Nile or from Ottawa to Khartoum and Back' (2015) is his third historical adventure novel and the eleventh book he has written. This novel is his tenth submission to the Campus Author Program. Rod lives and works in Hudson. He is employed by the Town of Hudson where he has worked for the past 34 years. He is a Past President of the Hudson Historical Society and is currently a Vice President of the Hudson Branch #115 of the Royal Canadian Legion. Rod is a retired Captain of the Hudson Fire Department where he served for twenty-five years.
