Campus Author 2010 Event
- The Library will add a copy of each campus-authored book to the University of Guelph collection.
- Honoured books will contain a bookplate indicating University of Guelph authorship. An 'electronic' book plate will be linked in the library catalogue.
- In late fall, the Chief Librarian will host a reception for all campus authors, editors and translators, and their friends and families. The event will be open to all members of the University and the local community. Authors will receive a mounted poster in honour of their publication.
- A display highlighting all of these books will be placed in the Library foyer for several weeks leading up to and following the event.
- The Library will create a database of all new University of Guelph books and their authors, starting with all of the books published in 2005. This ever-evolving database will be a rich and dynamic source of information about the university community of faculty, staff, students, alumni and retirees.
